Our Client: Shawfield Grid is a 1.2 million sq. ft urban masterplan by 7N Architects, commissioned by Clyde Gateway for the Shawfield area of Glasgow, Scotland. The scheme has been designed to create a major business district in Glasgow, designed to attract investment, drive economic growth and reconnect the area with the River Clyde.

Their Brief:Two industrial units totalling 2,700m2 were constructed in this phase, built for High Value Manufacturing. Designed and built to meet high sustainability standards, the project targeted BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification and demonstrated exemplary ESG credentials. As part of the package, main contractor Heron Bros Ltd required sanitaryware that offered both durability and performance, while fully meeting DDA compliance standards. The selected sanitaryware solutions fulfilled these requirements, supporting the project’s overall focus on quality, sustainability and accessibility.

Our Solution: In partnership with M&E contractor BMES Scotland Ltd, we supplied a combination of SanCeram and Armitage Shanks sanitaryware for the project. Rimless WCs paired with dual flush cisterns were installed throughout, delivering improved hygiene and reduced water consumption. SanCeram Doc M packs were provided, guaranteeing full DDA compliance while remaining cost-effective.

• Hydrophilic glaze with anti-microbial properties

• Dual flush cistern and push plate to help save water

SanCeram Langley 400 Wall Hung Basin paired with Armitage Shanks Contour 21+ Thermostatic Basin Mixer:

• Minimalist basin, ideal for use where space is at a premium

• Overflow to reduce the risk of accidental flooding and bottom outlet for ease of maintenance

• HBN compliant, deck mounted thermostatic basin mixer with easy use, long lever operation - NSF and WRAS approved

SanCeram Close Coupled WC Doc M Pack:

• Rimless Close Coupled 750 Projection WC, for water saving and increased hygiene

• Grab rails and toilet seat in dark grey

• SanCeram Sequential TMV3 Mixer Tap with safe touch body that is WRAS approved and HBN compliant

• Fully Doc M and DDA compliant pack
