Brighton and Hove City Council Public Toilets Case Study

Our Client: Brighton and Hove City Council undertook a major refurbishment of the city’s public toilets, investing £3 million over a two year period. Phase one which started in November 2022, saw four locations being renovated across the city with completion in May 2023.

Their Brief: The Daltons, Saltdean, Kings Esplanade and Station Road public toilets were all to be completed during the first phase of the project. They required sanitaryware that was going to be durable and hardwearing to meet the demands of high volume, public use. Hygiene was high on the agenda, as was water efficiency to help reduce ongoing costs.

Our Solution: Our SanCeram and Armitage Shanks ranges were chosen for this project. Both of which offered durable products suitable for high usage, as well as sensor features to promote excellent user hygiene and help reduce water consumption.
